The delightful E.I.C. of HB, Newell Turner asked me to begin thinking green in August and ever since, I have thought of nothing else as I traveled the world! I have taken a zillion pictures of green "accessorations" — from hair in Brighton, England to bus benches in Miami Beach (both of which didn't make the cut) — to arrive at this edited, stellar selection. Hope you like it!

Collection of Containers
I love the possibilities available in handcrafted ceramic vessels. Green is a classic color for Turkish pottery, but shade is always a variable. Uneven application, dripping, and heat result in the unexpected. From pure green to blue/green to dark muddy green… whatever the result, these vessels are fabulous!

Upholstered Chair
Milanese artist and textile designer Lisa Corti has no fear of green. For her "mama bear" chair she selected pretty grass green as the background for this splashy pink cabbage rose print. Accentuating the leaves with a touch of turquoise/teal and placing the chair on the aubergine-and-mustard-striped floor is pure color genius.

Table and Café Chairs
I love woven French café chairs, in any color! But this tableau in St. Rémy couldn't be any more green! It certainly makes me want to add a splash of red — a glass or two of a great burgundy would add just the right accent!

Sports Car
Zoom, Zoom, Zoom is a sound I associate with red sports cars. But, I think this low-slung bright green quasi-Batmobile is the 2012 answer to red, and deserves a really loud ZOOM!

Dinnerware
My favorite green is chartreuse and my favorite "accessorations" are dishes… so, these divine melamine plates from Milan are being air-freighted to New York as I write! I already have the French pressed glasses, but I must — must!— get the three patterns of Sabre flatware to complete the look.

Arm Chair
What's greener than Mexican designer Valentina Gonzalez Wohlers's Prickly Pair Chair? Wohlers, who currently lives in London, blends the old and new worlds with this quirky update of a classic French design. I love it and have a "pair" in my house!

Storefront
Chic designer Tricia Guild is always ahead of the curve. Her new Designers Guild shop on Marylebone High Street in London is already painted this fabulous shade of pea green. Or will it now be know as Tricia Guild Green?

These charming retro-chic bikes are sold at Aspen's Farmer's Market. "Cycle artist" Billy Taylor handcrafts these recycled vintage bikes in every color of the rainbow. This one is not only green, but it's really "green," too!

Just how green can green go? Portuguese design company Doïz made this vivid green injected plastic modular bookcase that screams the shade. The movable units and brilliant color would make it a great addition to a child's playroom.

Green on top of Green
I've looked at soooo much green, and this stack of chairs still stands out! They're definitely classics, in a complementary combination of greens.

Distressed Metal
I love the patina of aged metal as it oxidizes, and I think this green gate is just stunning. It may be a bit much for my house in East Hampton, but it certainly looks fabulous in front of this chateau in the South of France!

Table and Chairs
At one stop, I found a cacophony of green that had real greenery. Nature creates the most beautiful green palette, but this chic green furniture gives it an extra boost!
